Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading independent planning consultancy in their search for a Senior Planner to join their Dublin team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced planning professional to work on a diverse range of projects across Ireland, including residential, commercial, and mixed use developments. The successful Senior Planner will join a respected firm known for delivering practical, high quality planning advice and maintaining strong client relationships.

The Role
As a Senior Planner, you’ll manage and deliver a variety of projects while supporting clients and colleagues across the business. You’ll provide professional planning advice, prepare and submit planning applications, and contribute to strategy and policy work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage planning projects from inception to completion

  • Prepare planning applications, appraisals, and appeals

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities

  • Undertake planning research and site assessments

  • Support business development and client relationship management

  • Mentor junior team members as needed

About You
We’re looking for a commercially aware and driven Senior Planner who enjoys a varied workload and is confident working both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline

  • IPI membership (or eligibility)

  • Experience in planning, ideally within consultancy

  • Strong understanding of Irish planning policy and legislation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Organised, professional, and motivated to deliver high-quality work
