Town Planner – Wells / Exeter

We are working in partnership with a long-established Chartered Planning and Architectural Practice based in the Southwest. Our client, founded in 1998, has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality outcomes across both planning and architecture projects. With offices in Wells and Exeter, they provide expert consultancy services that seamlessly combine town planning expertise with creative architectural design.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, commercially minded, and personable Town Planner to join a growing multidisciplinary team that includes Chartered Planners, Architects, and Technologists (RTPI, RIBA, ARB, CIAT).
The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Work collaboratively with an experienced in-house design team.
- Manage a range of planning projects from conception to delivery.
- Engage directly with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
- Play an active role in business development through networking and social media (primarily LinkedIn).
- Contribute enthusiastically to the firm’s ongoing strategic development.
About You:
- Chartered Member of the RTPI, or actively working towards Chartership.
- Experience within private practice preferred; public sector experience advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to teamwork.
- Confident and motivated to help promote and grow the business.
