The Role
As a Town Planner, you will support the delivery of planning applications, appeals, appraisals, and strategic advice for a wide client base. You’ll work closely with senior planners and directors, contributing to project management, report writing, and assisting with planning representations. This role offers significant opportunity for growth, responsibility, and client facing experience as your confidence and capability develop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and submitting planning applications and supporting documentation

• Drafting planning statements and appeal statements

• Conducting planning research and site assessments

• Supporting senior staff with client management and project delivery

• Preparing reports, appraisals, and planning representations

• Assisting with consultation and engagement activities

• Liaising with local authorities and external consultants

About You
We are seeking an enthusiastic Town Planner with strong written and verbal communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving. You should be capable of managing your workload effectively and keen to learn and progress within a consultancy environment.

Requirements:

• RTPI-accredited degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning

• Relevant experience within a planning consultancy or local authority

• Strong understanding of planning policy and the development management process

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

• Confident communicator with good client-facing ability

• Working towards or already on the pathway to RTPI Chartership
