The Role
As a Town Planner, you’ll assist in delivering planning consultancy services to a wide client base. You’ll be involved in all aspects of planning, including appraisals, applications, appeals, and local plan representations. Working as part of a close knit and growing team, you’ll contribute to delivering successful outcomes for both private and public sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and supporting documents

• Undertake site appraisals and planning research

• Prepare planning statements and design and access statements

• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders

• Provide general planning advice under the guidance of senior colleagues

• Contribute to business development and client relationship management

• Support senior staff with larger and more complex projects

About You
We’re looking for a motivated and commercially aware Town Planner with a passion for delivering quality planning solutions. You’ll be confident, organised, and eager to grow within a consultancy environment that values collaboration and personal development.

Requirements:

• Degree and/or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or related discipline

• MRTPI-qualified or working towards Chartership

• 1-3 years of planning experience, ideally within consultancy or local authority

• Strong understanding of the UK planning system

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines

• A proactive, team oriented attitude with attention to detail
