Contract Town Planning Consultant (Associate Planner)
London - 6-month contract
£40-55 per hour - Outside IR35 (dependent on experience)

My client, a respected UK planning consultancy with a strong client base including major developers, national retailers, landowners, and house builders, is seeking experience Tonw Planning professionals, on a contract basis.
The team delivers high-quality planning advice on complex projects across London, the Southeast, and beyond. Known for clear strategies and successful outcomes, the business values collaboration and professional growth within a supportive office environment.

Key Responsibilities
·Advise on complex and sensitive development proposals.
·Shape strategies to support planning applications and secure positive results.
·Influence decision-makers through clear communication and robust tactics.
·Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary consultant teams.
·Prepare and manage appeals and represent clients at hearings and examinations.
·Build strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
Person Specification
·Degree in Town Planning or related field (RTPI accredited or working towards).
·Solid knowledge of the UK planning system, legislation, and policy.
·Highly articulate with excellent written and verbal skills, able to write persuasively and present clear arguments.
·Awareness of the responsibility of advising clients making significant personal and financial commitments.
·Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
·Confident, collaborative, and client focused.
