Graduate Town Planner – Edinburgh

Kickstart your planning career with a forward-thinking infrastructure developer that is looking for a Graduate Town Planner to join their team in Edinburgh. This is a perfect opportunity if you have recently graduated with a RTPI accredited degree!
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare initial planning reviews for a range of development sites, producing clear assessments for private investors and directors.
· Evaluate site suitability through early-stage desk studies and planning research.
· Monitor policy changes and identify potential business opportunities, preparing reports as needed.
· Conduct data collection and policy analysis to support planning projects.
· Assist with public consultations and stakeholder engagement.
· Provide administrative and technical support to the Planning Manager.
· Maintain accurate project records, including plans, permits, and correspondence.
About You:
· Good awareness of the key principles of Town & Country Planning.
· Excellent verbal and communication skills.
· Ability to deliver high quality work under pressure, with minimal supervision.
· Good analytical skills.
· Ability to work as a member of a team.
· Ideally, knowledge of GIS.
· Degree-level education in an appropriate discipline, accredited by the RTPI.
· At least RTPI Licentiate membership, with an interest in working toward full Chartered membership.
