Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading global engineering, design, and project management consultancy in their search for a Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant to join their well established Environment team in Glasgow.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced environmental professional looking to work on a diverse range of high-profile infrastructure and development projects across the UK. The successful Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant will play a key role in delivering environmental impact assessments, supporting consenting processes, and providing strategic environmental advice to major public and private sector clients.

The Role:
As a Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant, you will:

  • Manage and deliver complex environmental projects from feasibility through to consent and post-consent stages.

  • Coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and environmental management plans.

  • Liaise with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.

  • Contribute to business development activities, proposals, and client relationship management.

About You:

  • Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience managing environmental projects, ideally within the infrastructure or energy sectors.

  • Strong understanding of UK EIA regulations and environmental planning processes.

  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

  • Chartered (CEnv or equivalent) or actively working towards chartership.
