Job Title: Associate Director – Planning
Location: London (Hybrid/Remote options available)
About the Role: Our client, a UK-leading multi-disciplinary consultancy, is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join their dynamic Planning team. As part of an exciting growth phase, you will be involved in delivering a wide variety of planning applications, including residential, mixed-use developments, data centres, airports, retail, logistics, and major infrastructure projects. This role offers excellent opportunities to contribute to high-profile projects while developing your leadership and business development skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage planning applications across diverse sectors (residential, infrastructure, retail, etc.) Foster new customer relationships and maintain existing business partnerships. Mentor junior planners and provide leadership and direction on projects. Chair planning meetings and contribute to operational discussions and strategic planning. Prepare fee proposals and support tender submissions. Represent the company at Local Plan consultations and Examinations, assisting with appeals and coordination. Oversee project management, including team coordination, project finances, and ensuring on-time delivery of solutions. Candidate Requirements:
MRTPI qualified (or equivalent) with extensive experience in town planning. Proven track record in delivering large energy and infrastructure projects, including Environmental Impact Assessments and Development Control Orders. Full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and experience providing consultancy services across a broad range of clients. Demonstrated ability to win and deliver sustainable, commercially viable projects. Strong project management and financial skills. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively. Why Join?
