The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director to support the Regional Director of Planning in driving growth across the Manchester and Northern regions. We are seeking a commercially focused candidate with strong client-facing skills and the technical expertise to manage key projects at a senior level, working closely with our wider multidisciplinary team.

With a team of over 80 nationwide, we are equipped to handle projects of any scale. The Associate Director will play a crucial role in generating opportunities across various sectors, including Residential, Commercial, and Assets and Estates, and nurturing relationships with new and existing clients.

The Position Will Involve:
  • Leading the client-focused agenda for planning within the role holder's area, both internally and externally.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships to generate new business and maximize opportunities from previous project successes.
  • Networking, business development, and creating valuable contacts within the industry and local planning authorities.
  • Identifying and consolidating new and existing clients, as well as fostering relationships with colleagues.
  • Leading presentations and producing final reports and proposals for tenders and clients.
  • Using technical expertise to identify and develop client opportunities through both traditional and innovative methods.
  • Negotiating significant contracts with clients, suppliers, and contractors, managing legal and contractual aspects.
  • Managing significant, complex projects to a high standard.
  • Taking a leading role in specialized projects, providing technical leadership.
