FutureGen Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a well-established planning consultancy with offices across the UK in their search for a Senior Town Planner to join their growing team in either Cardiff or Exeter.

🏙️ About the Role

As a Senior Planner, you’ll work on a diverse mix of projects, from strategic residential developments and commercial schemes, to major infrastructure and regeneration projects. The company’s portfolio spans urban and rural settings, public and private sectors, and clients range from developers to local authorities and infrastructure bodies.

You’ll be supported by an experienced team across four national offices but will enjoy the day-to-day benefits of working within a smaller, tight-knit office environment where your contribution is highly visible and genuinely valued.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to combine the exposure and prestige of working on large-scale, high-impact projects with the supportive, flexible and collaborative culture of an independent consultancy.

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Around 3 years of professional experience in town planning (either private or public sector).

• Either Chartered Membership of the RTPI, or currently on the RTPI APC pathway.

• A strong understanding of UK planning policy and development processes.

• Excellent report writing, communication, and client engagement skills.

• A proactive and positive attitude with a passion for high-quality planning outcomes.
