Stroud District Council is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our communities.

Your Role

As a Senior Planning Enforcement Officer, you’ll:

  • Lead investigations into serious breaches of planning control
  • Use formal enforcement powers and represent the council in legal proceedings
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of learning
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and elected Members
  • Balance office work with regular site visits for a varied and engaging workload

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in planning enforcement and a strong grasp of relevant legislation
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a customer-first approach
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage a diverse caseload
  • A degree in planning or a related field is preferred
