Associate Planner – Bristol

Location: Bristol Salary: £55,000–£65,000 + Bonus

Play a central role in delivering large-scale planning applications across the South West. Projects include garden communities, brownfield regeneration, and strategic land.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight across planning applications, appeals, site appraisals, and environmental assessments
  • Lead on due diligence, feasibility studies, and risk management for major development projects
  • Work collaboratively with directors and senior planners to shape project strategy and client deliverables
  • Act as a key point of contact for technical guidance both internally and externally
  • Mentor junior team members and support their professional development
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of planning legislation, environmental policy, and technical innovations

About You

  • Degree-qualified and MRTPI chartered
  • 5–7 years’ experience in planning consultancy or private sector
  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships
  • Technically confident with strong leadership skills
