Are you a chartered Town Planner with strong consultancy experience? Looking to join a high-performing planning team on a wide range of exciting projects across the West Midlands?

FutureGen Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a well-established and highly respected private consultancy in their search for an Associate Town Planner to be based in Central Birmingham.

🔍 About the Role

You’ll be joining a collaborative and commercially aware planning team, playing a pivotal role in managing planning applications, client liaison, and helping deliver high-quality planning advice across the private sector. The consultancy has a diverse project portfolio including residential, commercial, mixed-use and strategic land, with clients ranging from major developers to landowners and investors.

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Chartered Membership of the RTPI (essential).
• Proven experience in private consultancy, delivering planning advice and handling a range of complex applications.
• A strong understanding of the West Midlands planning landscape would be a clear advantage.
• Confident engaging with clients, preparing bids, and supporting business development activities. You’ll be exposed to client relationships from day one, though you won’t be expected to bring your own clients.
• Excellent report writing, communication and project management skills.
